After a volcanic eruption in Indonesia shrouds an unnamed Australian city in perpetual darkness, brothers Cole and Moss spend their days completing menial tasks: washing cars, watering plants, caring for their ailing grandmother. As the city empties, Moss compels his brother to leave.
